INTERIORS

“All of Wasow's pictures are either directly, or indirectly, theatrical. The "interiors" often feature spot lights or curtains and their architecture highlights arrangement and presentation. Wasow pays homage to the light of the computer monitor while paying close attention to the luminosity and physicality of the Cibachrome print.

The "interiors" involve images of varied architectures that frame and contain nature. The architecture veers from the Arcadian to the corporate, from the institutional to the industrial. Within these spaces, nature either encroaches (like water flooding a basement or the grass that grows in a sidewalk's grooves) or is cultivated (like the raked sand of a rock garden or lily pads in a pond).
